Debbie Spielberg came to Montgomery County politics from Capitol Hill. She served as the late Representative John Lewis’s legislative director for five years. But Montgomery County beckoned when she had a family to raise, and she embraced it. PTA president at her daughters’ schools, then PTA cluster coordinator, senior aide to Marc Elrich as a councilmember and County Executive. Chair of Jamie Raskin’s state senate campaigns. Debbie doesn’t need on-the-job training. Public service is her passion, and she’s running to represent District 1 on the Council.
